The Opportunity:

Join the Translational Medicine (TM) team at our client, where they seek a dynamic Director/Associate Director driven by scientific creativity and collaboration. In this role, you'll spearhead the development of companion diagnostics (CDx) across diverse neurology indications, navigating a dynamic, cross-functional environment with agility and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of CDx strategy to bolster early and late-stage development efforts.
  • Guide joint project teams (JPTs) with diagnostic partners and internal stakeholders for successful analytical and clinical validation studies.
  • Foster seamless collaboration with biomarker scientists, clinical development, and operational teams to ensure effective sample collection and CDx testing in clinical trials.
  • Work closely with diagnostic partners and internal functions to facilitate regulatory submissions supporting CDx approvals.
  • Manage contracts, budgets, and timelines associated with CDx development, in coordination with project management and finance.
  • Collaborate with clinical development, medical affairs, and commercial teams to strategize CDx test publication and launch readiness.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Ph.D. in biology, genomics, or related field, with 6+ years of industry experience.
  • 3+ years of CDx development expertise.
  • Proficiency in established and emerging clinical diagnostic technologies (e.g., NGS, IHC, PCR).
  • Strong scientific, business, and interpersonal skills, with adeptness in problem-solving and multitasking.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Prior experience in neurology drug development within the biopharmaceutical industry.
