Meet’s innovative and fast-growing biotech client in San Mateo County has engaged us on an exciting new search for a talented Group Leader, Formulation Analytics. This candidate will be leading analytical method development to support Drug Product characterization, directly managing junior-level scientists. You will have the opportunity to join a growing biotech organization with a robust pipeline of vaccines to combat infectious diseases across the globe. Job Overview:
- Independently develop analytical methods, perform data review, author protocols, and coordinate/oversee tech transfer with internal teams such as QC and CDMO partners
- Lead and directly manage a team of junior-level scientists across PD, formulation selection, stability of DP
- Continuously evaluate biophysical and biochemical characterization tools to support vaccine DP development
Requirements:
- PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Biophysics or a relevant discipline and over 5 years of industry experience is preferred. A MSc and over 10+ years of relevant industry experience may also be accepted
- Expertise is leading analytical development for biologic drug product, with a preference for experience in characterizing adjuvanted vaccines
- Experienced in managing analytical transfer to CDMOs
- Proven experience using HPLC-based assays, DLS/MALS, Laser Diffraction is required with significant experience in authoring method protocols, SOPs, assay transfer protocols
- Experience in managing direct reports in lab is preferred
