The team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is eager to contribute to the mission in a hands-on role, working closely with a small, collaborative team.
Role Summary: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Python, JavaScript, cloud technologies, and API integration to build and optimize software solutions. This full-stack role involves cross-functional work with adjacent teams such as product and lab, providing hands-on technical leadership and collaboration to drive projects forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions using Python and JavaScript.
- Integrate APIs to enhance functionality and interoperability within our systems.
- Collaborate with product managers and lab teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
- Aid in the creation of a centralized repository for the analysis of large data.
- Maintain high code quality and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and providing mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience within the biotechnology, diagnostic, medical device, or health tech industry.
- Deep understanding of Python
- Extensive experience with AWS.
- Demonstrated expertise in API integration and development.
- Experience working in a start-up environment and thriving in a hands-on role with a small team.
