Job Summary: Meet has partnered with a rare disease biotech who is seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join their team. This field-based role requires a scientific and clinical expert who will strategically support their medical and scientific objectives. The MSL will be responsible for developing and nurturing peer-to-peer relationships with a diverse range of healthcare professionals, ensuring high-quality communication on the scientific and clinical applications of their investigational portfolio. In this role, you will gain critical insights into current medical practices, the treatment landscape, and emerging clinical and scientific data. Additionally, you will foster strong internal collaboration across functions, ensuring alignment and compliance in all activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain scientific relationships with national, regional, and local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests and engage in meaningful scientific exchanges.
  • Stay current with medical and scientific developments by reviewing relevant literature, monitoring industry trends, networking with experts, and attending key conferences.
  • Develop and execute territory-specific KOL and account plans, including detailed profiles, pre-call planning, and follow-up strategies.
  • Support scientific congresses at all levels, including KOL engagement, poster/abstract review, booth management, and company debriefs.
  • Provide actionable insights and feedback to internal stakeholders from HCP interactions.
  • Facilitate investigator-initiated studies and support cross-functional projects within Medical Affairs.
  • Lead large projects, effectively gathering and addressing stakeholder feedback while managing without direct authority.
  • Offer mentorship to new hires and maintain the highest ethical standards in all professional interactions.

Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an MSL role.
  • Prior experience with product launches; 3+ years in orphan disease or relevant therapeutic areas is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50-70% based on territory).
